Having Fun!

Having fun is exactly what we have been all about the last few months. We have had something going on every weekend. Today has been the first Saturday that we have been home just hanging out. I forgot how good it feels to just chill out!

Ben had a good Easter and enjoyed coloring the eggs. He was mesmerized when he saw that the eggs changed color when they came out of the cups. He also enjoyed our Easter egg hunt in the backyard and when he discovered that the big eggs had Hotwheel cars in them he went nuts.

Camping for the weekend was a blast with my friend Jamie. We headed down south to Long Point and spent the entire weekend roughing it in a tent. We stayed up late around the campfire and made Smores. We cooked on the fire, took long walks and played in the tent. Ben thought our tent was his own private bounce house because the king size air matress took up the entire tent. Ben loved it! We were right on the water which made the sunsets beautiful to watch and the dolphins and manatees playing in the morning were incredible. Ben's highlight was watching the fishing boats go out and in. He even saw a tow boat!!! We hadn't been camping for a while, and I forgot just how much I loved it. We are all ready planning our next big trip this fall.

Thomas the Train is one of Ben's absolute favorite things and when we heard that he would be in Mount Dora we decided to take Ben to meet him! Ben could not believe his eyes when he saw Thomas. I honestly think it was one of those reactions that probably would have won us a million dollars if we had caught it on tape. He was so excited! We got to ride on Thomas, meet Sir Topham and Percy, and Ben even got a Thomas tatoo. There was so much to do and we even made a trip to the gift shop where we found some pretty cool things. The highlight of Ben's day was the Alligator. There was a lady hanging out with a gator and Ben just walked right up and said "He's so cute!" He put his hand on his back and looked right at me and asked "Can I have one?" It was too funny!

Ben has a new favorite thing to do....ICE SKATE! He is a natural. Jeff and I couldn't believe how fast or well he picked it up. He used the little walker and took off like lightning around the rink over and over again. He skated the entire two hours and when we took off his skates he balled crying. He wanted more ice!!! We really enjoyed watching him be so big.

Well we finally made our first emergency trip to the doctor this week. Ben woke up on Tuesday morning and couldn't walk. He said he was too heavy and that his right knee hurt. Me being the skeptic that I am, placed several Hershey Kisses on the table to see what he would do. But he still couldn't walk. I started to become concerned because normally he would do anything for a kissy kiss and the night before he was running around like a little maniac. After a long day at the doctor's office having, blood work, X rays and numerous of check ups they discovered Ben had a sprained his right knee. He is doing fine now and he enjoyed all the extra attention.

Summer is almost here and we can't wait to head out to Texas to see my parents. We are looking forward to a great trip and excited to see their new house. We love having them in the states and we are getting use to being able to talk to them anytime we want. It is so cool.

Ben keeps us entertained with concerts full of dancing and songs. His new favorite is Take Me Out to the Ball Game. He is too much fun. Well we are all happy and healthy and looking forward to many great things coming up soon!!!! Life is good! Hope everyone is doing well. Take Care!

Love,
April, Jeff and Ben
